Camino Media applies a fee to cover insurance costs for all applicable equipment and services.
Please note that specific insurance coverage caps can be raised to meet the particular requirements of clientele. This is performed on a case-by-case basis and subject to increased insurance costs.
Equipment or property is not covered by insurance when left unsupervised in a vehicle (locked or unlocked). Theft as stated below constitutes forced entry/break in to a secure/guarded building or through means of aggression.
It is the responsibility of all the production/film crew to ensure proper due care and vigilance of all pieces of equipment acquired through Camino Media on behalf of the production. This responsibility extends to the timely processing of requisite paperwork in the case of a claim.

CLIENT INSURANCE
Camino Media endeavours to provide full insurance coverage to its productions carried out exclusively by Camino Media for turnkey delivery.
Camino Media, working as service provider for another production entity, herein called the client, only undertakes to cover those people contracted to work through Camino Media for the client. Camino Media cannot provide cover for those people, and the actions of said people, working directly for the client or third parties unrelated to Camino Media unless specifically arranged for in advance. Please read on for an explanation and options.
Although Camino Media has full and extensive insurance cover, its production service clients are still expected to have their own insurance to cover all equipment, materials and/or property acquired (entrusted or hired) by Camino Media on behalf of its clients and their employees/crew as well as full general and employers’ liability insurance in addition to coverage for additional costs regardless of their cause.
In case of damage to, or theft of, property, equipment or materials acquired (entrusted or hired) by Camino Media for the client during the period of the contract due to the actions of those not contracted through Camino Media or a personal claim against those working directly for the client or third parties not related to Camino Media, the client assumes full responsibility and his insurer full liability. In the case where there is unclear, questionable and/or shared responsibility between a person/persons contracted through Camino Media and persons working directly for the client and/or third parties unrelated to Camino Media, then Camino Media will consider the possibility of shared liability. Camino Media will submit to the investigation of both insurance companies and their subsequent decisions on how the liability must be apportioned.
Likewise, in the case of additional costs or general liability where there is responsibility for damage to third party persons or property resulting directly from the activities of the stated work, then Camino Media will only cover the costs or liability as specified above for services contracted through Camino Media. The client assumes full responsibility and his insurer full liability for coverage of crew contracted through Camino Media in the performance of activities or settling of claims in excess of or not covered by Camino Media’s insurance policy. In addition, the client assumes full responsibility and his insurer full liability for those working directly for the client and/or third parties not related to Camino Media.
Alternatively, Camino Media can name production service clients on its policy, thus extending its general liability coverage for the duration of a production. Interested clients need request this coverage extension in writing and understand that it carries an additional cost which is dependent on Camino Media’s overall production budget and the nature of the production.
Camino Media can also extend its additional costs and/or employees/crew liability to cover the client. Interested clients need request this extension in writing and understand that Camino Media’s insurance company will require further information such as a production crew summary and a statement of the total production budget in order to determine the cost for this coverage.
CHANGE OF INSURANCE GUIDELINES
Camino Media publishes these guidelines of its insurance coverage in good faith and for the convenience of clients. Nonetheless, Camino Media cannot be held liable for changes made to these guidelines without prior notification.
